Alton Bay "Ice Runway" - B18

Yesterday was a damn perfect day to fly, so I headed up to New Hampster to hit Alton Bay. The community owes a huge debt to the volunteers that keep the runway open. Was a fantastic day of flying...

very nice, wish I could do this with you. We have had a small winter here, not a lot to write home about.

Re: Alton Bay "Ice Runway" - B18

I just received this in an e- mail. Good evening gentlemen,

I am looking for some fast help. There is a NBC crew that wants to do a story on the Alton bay Ice Runway. They would like to video a pilot coming in to Alton and interview the pilot and the airport manager. We unfortunately just found out and have a deadline to get back to them of 8pm tonight!

Are any of your contacts able and willing to do this? It would a really cool experience for someone and great for NH aviation! Please let me know so I can get it organized. Email me or call my cell. My personal cell is 603.703.9909 if you need it.

Greg this a perfect mission for you and that Awesome 180 of yours.

Great video, got to ask though, what where all the blue things on short final, couldn't work out if they where upturned boat hulls, roofs, or what? might seem like a stupid question but it did have me perplexed
