HDR: High Dynamic Range. It's a photography term that describes the flexibility of a particular exposure to capture a wide range of lighting. For instance, a bright blue sky AND a dark rockface. It can be very challenging with digital photography, which still lacks the dynamic exposure range of good old film. The solution for modern digital photographers is to snap multiple exposures, each optimized for a different lighting value in the frame, and then morph them together with software. The results are amazing.
