And now for something completely different

I'm doing a crane job for another pilot, and he flies one of these carbon fiber Euro birds: http:// http://www.atecaircraft.eu/en/planes/faeta/ , and if I don't nick him too bad at billing time, it looks like I have an invite to fly in it. About as unlike the Rans S-7S as possible  It is a super sleek go fast, 130 mph cruise! The fit and finish is superb. I am really looking forward to it, talk about a change of pace. The owner has indicated he wants to see my engine off ridge soaring site, and at some point try his hand at it in his plane. I'll bet it has a real good glide, 12, maybe 15 to 1? Flight report forthcoming......

Those are pretty cool. I flew one briefly. The only thing I didn't like was the slow roll rate, pulling out of a steep turn felt like minutes. A turbo to get it over the mountains around here would make it a fantastic little runabout, especially on car gas.

It all looks good, "from a distance".
