boat bottom

I can do that shit with my air boat. I have 7/16 thick UHMW plastic on the bottom. I can run right up and over gravel bars, ice, snow, grass, brush, most anything except muddy sand that makes too much suction. The LAND speed record for an airboat is around 48 miles per hour on a dry paved airport runway!!!!!!!

Still pretty rough treatment on a boat huh.

There was a company here in Oregon called Boyce Jet that made really cool aluminum double hull jet drive boats. The Boyce brothers cut their teeth running up the Rogue river, and their boats were made for it. I think they were probably a bit heavy to float over grassy bars though.
