Annual at Steve’s Aircraft

After several issues with our last annual, we began searching for a shop that would allow us to assist with our upcoming annual. My dad and I like to do much of our own work, within reason. We have a good relationship with a local IA, but we were looking for a a shop that was intimately knowledgeable with the Skywagon. We had heard good things, both from this forum and others, regarding Steve’s Aircraft, so we called to schedule the inspection. They, Steve and Brian were happy to help and even encouraged our help, so it was decided. My dad arrived about 10 minutes before me and when I walked into the hangar, Brian was placing small squares of tape on the inspection panels and fairings that needed to be removed for their inspection. Both Steve and Brian took time to explain and show us the work being completed. We had let them, know that we needed to replace the pushrod seals due to several of them leaking. Brian immediately tore into the the job and found several small issues along the way likely saving us big $$ in the future.

I don’t normally leave reviews, however, this time I felt strong enough that I thought it was necessary. Both Steve and Brian’s professionalism, knowledge, and can-do attitude made the entire experience. I can’t say enough about both of these guys. They made lifelong customers out of us!

And he makes a nice gascolator as well, installing one on my 180 rebuild.
