Another bench with a view

Across the valley from my place, and a bit over 7K. Easy landing but intimidating the first time you eyeball it. You don't want to come in short, or overshoot, but especially come in short.

I gotta make it down to that Utah site..... As to rating various sites for difficulty: some I land are pretty easy, but extremely unforgiving if anything went wrong as in NO access except for flying, others are tougher but I can walk home if I blow it. This place pictured would be one of the easy ones but don't screw up as it would be a tough hike out.

Damn Tom! Don't you ever work? Seems like all you ever do is fly to these neat places and post pictures. =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~

Keep 'em coming, I very much enjoy seeing the places you put that little flying machine of yours!
Love the pictures of the old buildings you post also. Bring back some of the memories of places I know and people who lived in these places long ago. The big fire near Chadron Nebraska wiped out my great aunt and uncle's farmstead along Deadhorse Creek...remember Thanksgiving we had there back in '57. Part of that memory is now burned to the ground.

Tom, you have some of the best flying posts on this site. You should start a single thread for your own posts like Kevin did.

Ernie, You got it all wrong, I work my ass off, all the time. Just today I had to fly 30 miles to check out my next solar water pumping job. As soon as the well rig gets out of the way I'll land the side hill at the 9:00 position, flying up the gulley and then kicking it to the right before touchdown to get rid of the side slope.Image I had to land to call the rancher, this 7300' nearby ridge had the required cell coverage, so I HAD to land there, not my fault if it was a great view.ImageImage Next I have a county jail crane job about 20 miles away that I need to check out, the beach nearby will serve as a landing strip, the bike will get me to the jobsite. Seems to me I work a lot :D

Nice "work" Tom! I know it's tough but someones got to do it. I too look forward to your posts. Your writting and description of the accounts have inspired me to try and give a bit more detail. It's cool to be able to wrap your mind around what is actually happening. Keep it up!
