Sounds like the tail rotor seperated. Those things have far too many moving parts. Kamiah is located on Highway 12 not far from Grangeville and Orofino Idaho. This is the second one this year in the same area.

yes machanical failer was the cause , killed were my brothers co workers . This is the third fatal heli crash involving fish and game flights
