I've been mostly off the Internet grid, so this may not be new, but it is new to me.....

I prefer the Ford Pinto with the Skymaster wing up top!

I think I'll just toss my folding bicycle into the plane and call it good.

Re: Another fly/drive airplane in development

So, what you get is a shitty car and a crappy airplane. You will not be able to take off from the road in front of your house and land at the market, get a quart of milk and fly home. You will have to drive to the airport, take off, fly to another airport, land and drive to your destination. Fort all the money, just call Enterprise and have a car waiting. Fly a real airplane and drive a real car. Otherwise it is kind of like dating a hermaphrodite, ugly chick, ugly guy, only good for a metrosexual.

I really love the VTOL cars, neighbors would love that. Excellent in movies, like Back to the Future, always wanted a DeLorean, but one that could fly and travel in time...

Usually searching for the web address turns these up. Looks like opinions are roughly the same now as they were last year :)

Re: Another fly/drive airplane in development

Well, Zane, I kinda thought with it being in our backyard it would have been on our radar somewhere. My searching was rather futile with being dumped off the net pretty frequently here in Italy. I did search the "video" bin (manually) before I posted, but didn't find the topic.
I thought/think that starting with a real airplane has more merit than one that straddles the middle ground and does neither well. The road power unit might be refined to weigh less and function better with time....? Anyhow-an interesting concept (to me). I like that if you have known good weather the "ground power" weight/mass unit would be left home, and the airplane left would be mostly stock.
Highway steering in the rear does give me concern... Could be "not too relaxing" to drive at highway speeds?

I'll see if I can re-establish connection to post this. :-/

PS. As poor an excuse as any is-my life has been crazy since late last summer?
Oh, well. I guess a bad excuse is worse than none.... :-)
