Another one down

Once again that silly little wheel in front screws up a nice off airport landing...

Re: Another one down

So in a soft field, do you land with the rows or across them? That was a major point of contention during my check ride. That old dude faired a lot better than the plane, I don't like the way the wing detached.

Re: Another one down

Unless you're sportin' 31's and a wheel in the back, I think I'd be aiming for a line parallel with the rows.

It all looks good, "from a distance".

Can't argue with that!

Oh yah the old fuel problem again. Another good reason for a high wing with a carburetor.

He states, 'problem with the flow of fuel'? I guess that would get your attention. Glad he made it out O.K..

Another way of saying, maybe, "too much air in the fuel tanks".

No fire, no fuel leaking out of the wreckage or mention of it.....damn fuel pumps! Regardless, it looks like he pulled it off as well as possible in a bird like that, tiny wheels in the wrong location.

Why? Does a high wing/carb burn air better? =D> =D> =D>
