How flyable is this area in the winter, lots of fog and rain? Does that last all day many days or lifts everyafternoon?

The Ranger Creek airstrip on the east side of Mt. Rainier has some mountain bike riding. The skookum flats trail follows the white river from the airstrip.

I wouldn't plan on going to Seattle in the winter and expecting to fly, especially into the mountains. You may get lucky and have a nice day or two, or it may be socked in and raining for a month straight.

While on the Canada topic, if you decide to come North, I have a 2800 foot grass strip and hangar on the ranch and an empty house next to mine.
Wife is a good cook...
BTW we are considering wintering in Costa Rica in the future near Punta Arenas so plenty to talk about.
PM me if you decide to fly up.

The invitation goes for the rest of the BCP community if you pass through this area. Many Alaska bound pilots stop in Red Deer for fuel we are just 15 minutes North.

Beamer, I'm thinking I may need to come down and introduce myself now that I picked up a 180. Or you could always fly a couple hrs north and say hi to me...

Yep, been thinking about that for a year or so...since you built your strip.
