Re: Any Dirt bike riders here? Trails are ready

i have been riding, racing dirt bikes for a long time. Never been on any tours though. that dirt does look sweet, but the trails look too wide for my liking. What kind of bikes do you ride on the tours?

Re: Any Dirt bike riders here? Trails are ready

We use KTMs and Hondas, that trail looks wide, its size for a quad or more some sections but most so rutted that becomes single track .
Here is a closer look of a section.
My Tour is not a single file full of rules ride, ISDE racer myself and racers my guides we know that would be boring
You can see the info in my website http://www.motoadventuring.com

Re: Any Dirt bike riders here? Trails are ready

Nice. I like the wide trails so you can bang bars with your riding buddies if you want. I haven't been on a bike for 5 years but I miss it, just as well since they're closing our trails. Actually they just close the ends so they can say how many miles are open to motorized use.

Motoadve, what does your bike rental go for? Are they guided tours or can you just rent and go? Also, do you have any dual sport bikes that can be used on the road too? Looks like fun!

Re: Any Dirt bike riders here? Trails are ready

Everybody I've talked to that had went to Costa Rica to ride dirt bikes with tour company's, said they had a blast! We also had a guy in our PR department that organized a yearly trip to Costa Rica with a small group. He's big into surfing , too. So it was a combo surfing/dirt bike riding trip. I never been, but always heard it was a lot of fun.

And, also heard the young Costa Rican women are pretty nice

Yes we do guided tours, you can check prices and all the info in our website.

http://www.motoadventuring.com

Our tour spends 2 days at the beach right in front of the surf ( I do that too) :D

Girls are very pretty and the friendliest I have ever met compared to other contries (in Europe, USA , and South America).Costa Rica is not a bad place to visit at all.
And the flying beautifull.
Check a clip a made.

Re: Any Dirt bike riders here? Trails are ready

Avidflyer, I ride mostly at stonyford in the national forest around there. Or pipi valley sometimes, and we used to ride a lot at clear creek before it was closed by the environmentalist. It was always fun riding hare scrambles because we usually got to ride on stuff that wasn't part of the normal trail system in some places. Someday I'll figure out how to post pics and videos of that kind of stuff.
