Any Field approval for 3000 federals on 180G and newer ?

Hello all,
I am brand new to this forum. I bought a 1964 G model the aircraft came with federal 3000 hydraulics.
I called wipaire for new bungee's and the salesman stated that the STC covers up to the 180 F model.

So my options are to buy a set of 3200 series skis or a find a field approval and use that for reference on a 337 or field approval submitle. Has anyone had any luck on this?

Thanks, Paul

Paul,

Post this question over on Supercub.org. Lots of Alaska guys on there with ski installation experience, like Dave Calkins and Mike Mc.

I've seen these skis installed on later model 180s, and I'm sure the were legal, so it can probably be done. The caveat MAY be a gross weight restriction, though.

Also, the Minneapolis FSDO folks at least know what skis are  so you may get it done.
Good luck.
