Any of these still flying?
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!
Went to the USAF Museum in Dayton and saw this. Looked like a Helio with a radial.

My old outfit used to fly several of them. None of the old time pilots who flew them loved them, and that is an understatement. BIG airplane, and not much power.
There is a flyable example in the Alaska Aviation Museum at Lake Hood.

I like that museum, I need to get back down there soon, I hear it's changed quite a bit since I was there last.
Some friends in Anoka MN have a flying Vultee L-13 Grasshopper, another very rare & similar example of 1940's L Birds.

Blessed are the curious, for they shall have great adventures!
The Presidential Aircraft Museum is worth going through, too. You can spend the whole day at the Air Force Museum.
