I don't miss T shirt weather as much as I would miss my mountains

It does look great there and I appreciate your videos. :P

I spent 3 years off and on in the Rockies of Colorado and know what you mean. I need to fly my Bearhawk Patrol out west and try some of great looking flying I've seen on this site. It's on the bucket list! Thanks for watching.

Re: Anybody Missing T-Shirt Weather Yet!?

Just spent a week in the desert working like a rented mule in my t-shirt. I had no airplane, no sunscreen, and no sympathy from the old man. Couldn't wait to get back to the cold country to let my skin cool off. .

Haha! That's how I feel MOST of the year here in Florida, but at least I can take up the airplane and cool off.

It's still T-shirt weather up here in the NW corner of MT....it's just that it's a long sleeved T-shirt, and it's under a couple layers of other stuff.... It is -11 right now, but the sun's out and it's sooooo beautiful!!! Wouldn't trade it for anything!

Re: Anybody Missing T-Shirt Weather Yet!?

Are you kidding me?! Here in Florida when it gets down to the 60s we are shivering, building bonfires, huddling in our houses with the heat on, ha ha! Thanks for watching.

Ice pick.....if you decide to make the trip out west I am probably out of your way, but you re welcome at H34. Cheap gas, good foo,d comfortable bed. Not fancy as I am a bachelor, but comfortable. Have made several of those trips in my Pacer, and still camp out with Pat Fagan in his BH..

Re: Anybody Missing T-Shirt Weather Yet!?

Miss it? Hell no!

Now that's it's cooled off, I had a great ride on the new folding e bike in 6 " of fresh powder and 12 degree temps, and never even broke a sweat! It got the dog off the couch also. Riding in the snow is a new experience, made possible by the fat tires, aired down to 10 lbs so nice and squishy.

I have to admit though, the little things, like having to wear boots every time you step out of the house, take some getting re-used to. No more running out to the shop or hangar wearing flip flops, you happy now  Then again, having a bug free windshield for the next several months and hundreds of sq. miles of more LZ's available because of the retractable wheel skis is pretty cool also, it all evens out I guess.

It's all good! Awesome looking bike...looks electric too. Nice. Have to admit the snow looks great but I'm at a point where I'd like to play in it but don't want to have to live with it all winter. I got used to running out of the house in shorts, t-shirt, and open shoes anytime of the year! Thanks for watching.

We had a nice chat about weather on a family walk yesterday morning with my wife, mother-in-law and niece. It was shorts and T-shirts weather in Dothan.

I've got a theory that Southerners hate the idea of a white winter because the only cold weather they see is usually accompanied by grey/brown colors, cloudy skies, and dreary rainy days. If they ever do see snow its only for a day or two at most and since everything shuts down its a major event.

They never get to experience the joys of stepping outside your door to a semi-permanent winter wonderland, where activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmachining are just a decision away.

Also, since there's not much need for it, they don't generally own the clothing to enjoy cold weather comfortably. So they hate the idea of cold winters.

I'm not saying I don't enjoy 60-70 degree days in the winter, but I sure as hell don't enjoy the type of summer required to get them. I miss my winter activities and I miss my enjoyable summer temps.

Re: Anybody Missing T-Shirt Weather Yet!?

When I lived in the Rockies of Colorado the winter WAS a wonderland, lots of snow, lots of sunshine too, but I was on a semi-permanent vacation working just enough to pay the bills and maintain my season lift ticket...basically a ski bum for a few years (ah single life!) but I'm at a different stage of life and while I could definitely enjoy a week or so of the same I just can't give up the laid back Florida weather for too long.
