Anybody use the AirBoss fuel discount program?

I was on AirNav.com tonight looking at some airports and saw that they've added their "AirBoss" members-only fuel discount program. You have to be a member to see what the discount is, but they say it's between $.05 and $2.10 per gallon, averaging $.20/gal. That's quite a range. It's $40/yr for membership.

Anyone use this, and what have you found?

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

If I am doing a cross country I use ait nav and csll the places that I think will be good and ask what the cash price is. I explane that with cash there is no credit card fee. they somtimes go for it.

I have an airboss card (didn't pay $40 for it), so if you want to know what the price is at a specific location, just ask and I'll look it up for you.

From what I've seen so far, most of the discounts are $.10. The only places I've found that will make it worth your while are in some of the larger cities, where it could be up to $.80 off. Most of the places that are giving $.80+ off are at the MOST expensive airports in the area, with cheaper alternatives close by.

In a nutshell, unless you have a Chieftan and are forced to daily go into a busy FBO that gives a large Airboss discount, it's not worth your money.

Oh, and at my FBOs, we give $.10/gal off for it.

I got talked into it at Sun-N-Fun. My experience pretty much echoes Bigdawg's. I did get stuck buying gas at epps at kpdk and they have high fuel prices and a pretty good discount. Girl behind the fuel desk never heard of it though
