Anyone from Victoria BC area?

Going to visit in July, possibly move there for a while.
Is Canada friendly to GA, what airports for GA in the Victoria BC area?
Any info is welcomed.

I'm a few hours away by regular transport, but probably 30 mins by plane. Ping me if you make it to the mainland and I'll show you around this side.
Victoria is a lot like Costa Rica. Except rainier and colder and less mountainous. Good surf a few hours away if you don't mind cold.
I'm a newbie, but I've got a good sense that the GA community is vibrant and friendly. I've met lots of great people in the past few months.

I' m based in Vidtoria, which is a largish international airport.
Lots of good flying around, both on Vancouver island and over on the mainland. More active off airport community around the lower mainland.
I will PM you my cell no.

If we end up moving, I bring my 182 for sure.
First want to do a trip to check out how is GA , hangar availability , how far from Victoria.
One time I rented a plane from Paine field and flew to Friday Harbor, the area is beautiful.
How's the backountry flying in this part of Canada?
Also would love to go flying while Im there, and also need to check the Mt bike trails.
Its an early stage , many things to consider yet.

Lots of Mt biking and off airport flying on Vancouver Island and the Mainland.
We are talking outdoor paradise with just a little sprinkle of rain to keep the dust down.
