Looks pretty nice. Don't see a baggage door. I wonder if that is an early model? Probly stick built?? I'm thinkin factory welded could be a plus.

$65K seems ike a pretty good price for a 10 year old 520-powered airplane with only 120 hours TT. Ya gotta wonder.....
There seems to be a lot of interest in the bearhawk, but (other than a local hangar-queen BH with very little time that's already been pranged several times) I don't think I've ever seen one in person. How many sets of planes/kits are out there, and how many flying completions?

There are two flying on floats. Both have Clamar composite floats. One is amphib, and the other straight floats. Another flying BH is about to go on floats in Fergus Falls MN. The guys report good performance but I am not a float pilot so my knowledge is limited. Mark

I visited Curt's shop in Fergus Falls when I was investigating the Bearhawk building experience as learned through the knuckle grindage of others. He was installing the electronics and wiring before he covered the plane. Smart move At the time he was flying a Cub on floats for his and his dog's fishing trips up north. He did say when he had satisfied himself with the shakedown of the Bearhawk he would put that on floats too and possibly part with the Cub (but not the dog of course). That was possibly '03, the registration is dated last fall. I think he knew the Bearhawk project would get interrupted with a house one. Glad to see its flying. Happy float flying Curt.
