AOSS Shocks

Are there any less expensive options for the experimental world in the converting of bungee to an AOSS system?

I'm putting some new type shock struts on my cub style gear in a few days, these are a new design. I will post a picture when they're on

Re: AOSS Shocks

For years, WagAero has sold their "die spring" set-up (p/n M-222-101) to replace the bngee arrangement on the Cub gear. I recall it being cheaper, but my newest Wag catalog lists it at $549. A guy I know who's building an experimental PA-11 will be using this gear-- not flying yet, but another guy I know converted his AcroSport biplane to it from bungees & seems to like it.

Harley Davidson softail motorcycles use an extending spring/damper combination on their rear suspension.

With a little creativity this may be an option.
