Around the Campfire

is where I need to be today! Probably to cold to get a fire going :( It was
-50 at the house this morning. Talk about pre-heat :!: Its so cold (and no relief in sight) there are 2 young moose that are laying just off the highway and I'm afraid they are going to freeze to death :( And no....I'm not putting a blanket on them :D

I feel your pain. Over here we're going on a week of -40F or colder. It hit -50 today. Looks like a few more days before anything changes.

Yesterday there was a snowshoe hare outside my woodshed the entire day, about as compact and round as a bowling ball, and about as inanimate.

Best of luck with your pipes and your vehicles

According to Zane, the official term has been changed to "climate change" to account for the f#cking cold weather.

Rumor has it that the temp will start to rise slowly in about 5 days or so....not holding my breath though. At least it isn't quite that cold here in the banana belt of Alaska.......-18f

According to my natural gas bill, global warming...aka climate change...could be a good thing. Freeze or go broke trying to stay warm!

We hit 12 degrees today, Homer is the real banana belt of AK. I do like the way the planes fly though, I took the mail into the villages today, it was grossed out and still flew like a bat outta hades.

The Good Lord does not deduct those days from our alloted quota, spent fishing, flying or with our Grandchildren.......

Look out Glaciercub- Yesterday we got excited because it came up to -17F Today it's back to -42F.

So far have dealt with two separate frozen house drains, one frozen well line, and some darn cranky vehicles.

Don't know whether to be sad that I can't fly, or happy that I don't have to fly
