I thought bopping around dirt strips in Idaho was pretty adventurous, this guy took it to a whole nother level...

Way cool. That trip, not quite that route, but that trip, is way high on my bucket list. Just a few more years and it will get a hard look.

Nice how the 2009 column lists Alaska among the countries, instead of the states. =D>

This is cool too, met a guy here on the field who flew a Stinson 108-3 on this route as part of a rally in 1990. Not a true round the world flight because the plane went from central America to England in a container and then he sold it in Australia and returned home on comair. Something like 140 hours of flying though over a couple of months and some good stories, including a bingo into some military base in some awful place - sounded like an amazing adventure.
