Re: At the playground

I like that mount Bart. My AME gave me some linger bolts and I have my gopro currently mounted on the tol hole where the small vertical tube that runs from the strut to the wing. If that's as clear as mud. It is a great cantage point for facing forward video IMO, but may be to close for side plane shots like yours.

Are federal or state $'s involved? Seems like there should be some leverage there, not to mention some corrupt morons taking up free residence at a federal or state retreat.

Mostly federal $'s. And those were mostly in the form of free asphalt from Pemex.

We've tried everything. Some of us are the airport managers, so we can't complain to ourselves. From there we've tried to find a way to work with the contractor, mayor, governor, DGAC. Pretty much anyone we could think of. This is just one of those situations where things are going to happen with the stars are aligned I guess. :-(

The real problem is that the next closest affordable airport is about an hour away. Even the one with parking fees set by el bandidos is 45 minutes away.

It's gotten so frustrating that some of us were having beer infused fantasies of buying some land and putting in a new strip ourselves!

Since two people commented on the wifi suck.

I have found that the right setup for me is that I only use the IOS app for aiming, then use the wifi remote to turn the camera on and off when I want to take shots.

Done this way, battery life is a non-issue and I don't end up with hours of cruise footage to edit down to a minute or two when I'm done. In a sense the battery life is almost a bonus that I got for free. The big deal is not having to deal with monster files full of stuff I don't care about.
