Attention Deficit: Alaska

Zane's AK Trip Report is up on the homepage. Its a good one too. What its all about.

Well done, my friend. This trip report is my new favorite.

I have personally realized over the past year that the equipment and transportation are only a part of the story. The real story is in the experience, and the memories made with the people you care about. You have embodied that sentiment with this story.

Most excellent report, I really enjoyed that and it brought back many memories.
I do have one question Zane? Will you be doing the baby sitting while the family is attending the quilting jamboree in Boston? hehe.

Re: Attention Deficit: Alaska

Love it!!!
My wife and I had the same conversation(argument) about the airport cart rental. Me carrying three bags with a car seat strapped to one pull behind bag, falling off every 100ft, one over my shoulder Rambo style. It was easier to get the cart but you know it's all minivan from there Z.

You have a way of describing these places witch makes me feel like I have never been there. Good job.

Re: Attention Deficit: Alaska

Thanks all, it was fun to write. And thanks Evan for posting in the forum. It's longer than some novels but it was fun to commit the memories to page before they fade.

No minivans! Hahaha.

The trip gets better the more I think back on it. Our memories take care of us.

This is both the most important, and most difficult part for me and my Trip Reports. Many times, I have a lot of video that I shot that will help "kick start" memories of a trip.

My Idaho trip report is still in the works........ after almost two years. [-X

I have the video put together, just slacking on writing the second half of the story/narration.

Reminds me of that Stae Farm TV commercial:

Z u just saw a small taste of flying and life in Alaska. Glad u had a chance to see a taste of what a lot of us spent a lifetime doing and enjoying on a daily basis. To much to explain here but it sure was an unforgettable experience at the time. And happy to have had the opportunity to experience it.

I'm chipping away at it year by year. Some stuff I will just have to experience vicariously as you send me new stories to publish 8)

I made a new "1 Minute Film" from flying with Devon.
