Auto gas STC

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Flyer,
From a friend who is a an airworthiness DER. I'm busy this week at an AG expo, so I cannot get you chapt. and verse for a while, but he sure seemed awfully sure of that, it wasn't an I think. Bug me around Fri., I should be able to get the reg by then. Next week I'm supposed to go to the Virgin islands to fix an airplane, and this weekend, I'm buying an old C-140 if it passes the pre-buy. I really am unusually busy for the next two weeks.

I asked the Lycoming Rep this specific question at last year's Alaska Aviation Trade Show and was told that MOGAS invalidates their warranties.

BFD. Lycoming will not even stand behind their crankshafts. Do they blame them on Mogas?
