Re: AVWeb Survey on Tower Closures

Oh for goodness sake, this is going to be short lived. Very soon the Federales will be right back to opening towers and watching our every move. Don't be like a herd of cattle stampeding. We don't need them.

Chico, Redding and Stockton have scheduled airline service. Who cares if it is the only traffic they see in any given hour? #-o What a joke.

The old question,
Am I up here because you are down there?
Or are you down there because I am up here?

Thanks for your service, but I'll be fine...

I guess I don't need anybody holding my hand...

Re: AVWeb Survey on Tower Closures

Too bad about controllers getting laid off and other federal employees going to a 4 day work (and pay) week, but after 35 years in construction where lay-offs are just part of the game I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. They'll be back on the job as soon as the elected officials quit fucking around and do their job and get the budget squared away. I know lots of construction guys (including me) who've been on extended lay-offs because of the poor economy, I was lucky enough to be able to just go ahead & take an early retirement but lots of the other guys don't have a happy ending in sight.
