Another great area that I wonder about every time I fly over. All the reclaimed strip mines in KY and WV. There are a lot of them that would make for some good strips if anyone knew how to get the owners to classify them as such.

Ill definately go! Im based out of Burlington. Keep my pacer there. I live outside of Chapel Hill. Ill give Mikey Matthews a call. He took me to a bunch of little strips in booneville. They werent really airstrips, just more big fields where he knew the owner and we landed. pretty fun stuff.
