Back to the goodie store

Got a chance to get my back country 4 wheeler on the dyno this week.

Haven't broke 100hp yet but very close, a little more grinding and a couple more machine tricks and I should have it :D

Then I have to figure out how to carry it on the Scout

You gonna buy a PLB to carry when you ride that thing? I'm thinking seriously about one for when I go out on the Honda. Chances of breaking down/getting hurt are probably a whole lot more than when I go out in the airplane.

I do have one but the damage I will sustain at 105+ miles an hour on the four wheeler will most likely be much worse than PLB can take.

That is a good Idea though for those days when I am only driving 65-70

I may need to buy another 4 wheeler my lips are starting to get tired of folding over my chin.

Mr Scout - at 105 mph, that would make a good time to borrow Zane's helmet cam for some U tube stuff??

You sound like Hopkins in "the world's fastest indian" . put some 35 inch bushwheels on the back, and away you go!

...remember, life is uncertain, eat desert first!
... and, those that pound their guns into plows, will plow for those who don't.

I don't think I could stand any more on my head, at that speed the buffeting off the front end is wild enough.

Wouldn't mind a small mounted cam though.

I couldn't get low enough gearing for 35's but it would make for a great picture.

My wife doesn't like it geared much beyond 80mph, but any time I doing more mods I gear it fast and check top speed 8)

Then gear it back down to the 80-82 mph range.

You need to get something a bit more trail friendly so we can get some riding done once this snow decides to melt off.

Not to mention fuel friendly :) :)

I would be out of fuel before we got out of Mina

Holy crap...105 on a 4wheeler you are crazy!!! 4wheelers scare the crap out of me. I jumped a 40 ft double on a quad once, it scared me so bad I swore i'd only ride them if I had no other option.

While we're off topic...a few years back I put 100LL in my slightly moded sled to see what difference it made. Didn't really notice much till I tried a speed test...135mph and still not tapped

how do you keep the tires on the beads ,I rode a banshee with a GSXR750 engine but at about 90 mph the tires expanded so much they would come off the beads. what are you riding anyway?

tricycles are for little girls

Its a Banshee

I have found if you use low profile tires they seem to stay together

Several years ago I built one that did 116mph on asphalt

Now days that's even slow, I think the boys are going about 140 mph on asphalt
