Backcountry or remote strips in New England?

I'm going ton be living in New England this summer and haven't had much a chance to explore around the area? I was wondering if you guys knew of any fun remote strips, preferably with camping, maybe some fishing, ect... In the Maine, NH, VT area.. Even Canada...any insight would be great. Thanks.

We are at 90me . It's not real remote, but you are welcome to stop by or even camp out if in neighborhood.

You should try to get up to Alagash. There is an old gravel strip behind Guy Kelley's store that my uncle ,Walter Henderson helped to build back in the 50's. He used to guide, and fly sports from there, up the St. John to an old farm that was used as a camp. I took him back there in my Maule in 2005. It's my Favorite memory. Good fishing and hunting. Call Jan Soucy at Black river lodging, good folks.

When are you going to be back here? Maybe we can go explore. I know a few fun spots up here in Maine, and getting to know more by the month. I'd love to check out Nova Scotia too, but could not swing the time to do that until September. I was up there on my motorcycle 2 summers ago and I definitely passed some grass strips.

Will probably be back there through November. I'm originally from Vermont but am moving from Colorado in May after 8 years. Going to be on Nantucket for summer and fall but I am definitely down to go explore. Fall would be the best time for me too. Yeah would love to know more about some if those grass strips up there. Having a hard time finding anything on the Internet.
