Re: Base jumping INTO an airplane (Pilatus PC-6 Porter)

Saw that yesterday in a couple places, including on the national news on tv. Absolutely amazing. I just don't see how those guys could "fly" into the door of that Porter with balls that big. Or how the pilot of the Porter managed to fit through the pilot door, for that matter.

Whew!!!

Absolutely amazing! Would've never thought they could be so precise with all the disturbed air. Who comes up with these ideas hey, nutters for sure!

Indeed, besides the obvious flight skills, what blows me away is who the hell thought of attempting it in the first place!? Really thinking outside the box, at it's best. Though I was a bit disappointed that they didn't follow up the landing with jumping back out.

That was really amazing. Awesome skills on behalf of all the pilots (both with and without an airplane) are concerned.

My guess is French people.

They really think outside the box, and the stuff that they have done with paragliders, parachutes and base jumping/wingsuit and combinations of all three is amazing. Darwin strikes fairly often though.

Hell, James Bond did that without a pilot in the plane!

That is nothing. I understand that another bunch is going to have little people do the base jumping and enter the cargo door of a 182.
