BCP 2010 Fly In Compilation Vid/Slideshow

Ok, so it's way too long cuz I just dumped my whole album in, and lazily edited the video, and it's a whole lot of my, taildrgfun and avids planes. But, it's somethin'!

Hit play then pause to let it load, then you can jump around. Video is kind of in the middle.

Music:
Horsehead - Black Crowes
Long Snake Moan - PJ Harvey
Soul Singing - Black Crows
Listen To The Music - Doobie Bros

Avid, that's an excellent demonstration of how quickly the ground loop can happen. That one was pretty gentle compared to the one I did that made me go get some more training. You kept both wing tips off the ground, good job.

Nicely done Emmet (as usual)! I especially liked the video form the tail, good perspective on the action.

I watched that over and over analyzing what I did wrong. That bump right after touchdown is in a bad spot. It looks like my tail bounced in the air several times after I was already slowed down enough for my rudder to not be effective. The rudder is almost too small on the Avid. On pavement you had better set the tail down not long after touchdown so you can steer the tail because the rudder quits working when your still moving at a pretty good clip....anyways they say there's those that have and those that will....hopefully I'm done [-o<

I suspect high density altitude may have played a role. Your ground speed was probably considerably higher than what you are used to with your normal approach speed.
