BCP aircraft ownership poll

Owning an aircraft has many special considerations like financing, taxes, inspections, registration, and even partnerships. You can post questions on buying and selling procedure. Please post type-specific questions and topics in the Types forum.

BCP aircraft ownership poll

Due to some default limits on the poll system, Shortfielder's thread was gimped from the start. I have since changed the maximum poll options and re-added it.

This is for currently owned aircraft, not aircraft you have owned in the past, or have flown or rented. Multiple answers are possible, but the first questions are mandatory: single vs twin and tricycle vs tailwheel.

This is just a snapshot of our current owner community for fun, but the distribution of aircraft type we represent can be pretty interesting. If your aircraft doesn't fit any of the poll options, feel free to report it by posting below. It just isn't practical to list every mfr and type in a poll, but it should be good enough to get a rough idea.

Yeah, tough to make the poll software work exactly how I want it. It's comparing that single engine option against all other options, including the aircraft types. The votes are clean data, it's just the calculation of percentages that is a disparity among the options. If I remove those options though, the poll will reset.

Re: BCP aircraft ownership poll

You could make this part of the registration process as well. Poll at time of entry as it were.

Two of the same brand? Yeah, just gonna have to live with it. That's what you get for owning 2 planes.

Eight is too dang many! I had five once, and that was too many also. Got three now, and that seems about right.

As an aside, Richard Bach owned 9 at one time and said that was too many. He allowed as to how 5 was about right. More than three though, especially if you do most of your own work, seems you're working more than flying.

I am more elite than that. I listed the Dream Tundra and came up in the zero percent.

Lynn Sanderson (Dirtstrip) passed away from natural causes in May 2013. He was a great contributor and will be missed dearly.

I want one does that count? That would put me at two planes but unlike some of you I can barely afford my 180........who am I kidding I really can't afford it either.... its that little white lie I tell myself and it seems to keep growing.

3, 4, 5 planes.... Lucky bastards!

Haha... Sorry Lynn. I think the software doesn't show fractional percentages, so if you're less than 1% you show up as zero.
