Not being a smartass, sincere question: at what point does grass get too long? That looked like it would produce a bit of rolling resistance.

Beautiful strip and home. I love the idea of having a home strip. Hence the question.

Thanks for having me over Rich! You have a beautiful place and I hope to see you more often when you are in town. I spotted rw2's airplane at the fuel pumps at my home airport about two years ago. Finally, we got to say hello in person.

Albravo--The grass was taller but it was rather loose and there really was no noticeable drag.

And this had been confirmed by boots on the ground before either of our landings were executed. You're right to be asking the question with grass this tall. This field is cut very short several times each summer for hay, so it doesn't tend to get tangled.
