Bearhawkin' with Blackrock (updated with video)

Visiting my family in Reno for Thanksgiving, so I hooked up for a great day of flying with Blackrock, Cowdog, and Maverick in their Bearhawks. We even stopped in to visit Gump after surveying a few lake beds. I shot some fun video, which I'll post next week after I edit it down. VERY impressed with these aircraft. Thanks guys for a fun day!

Watch the video in 1080p HD.

Re: Bearhawkin' with Blackrock

Thanks for posting these great shots Zane. We all had a blast and look forward to the video you shot. Heck we just love to fly so thanks for getting us out.

Pat, thanks for the panel comments. You wouldn't believe how much time is behind coming up with that layout and the component selection. I got to sit behind a blank panel for hours on end, making airplane noises until it finally came together.

Oh I believe it. Our guys in the race shop get into some projects that seem to go on for ever.

It's hard to soar with eagles when you are surrounded by turkeys

Re: Bearhawkin' with Blackrock

Looking forward to the video Zane. Trying to convince my Dad to put off starting a new project for himself and build us a Bearhawk, lol!

Great pics. Bearhawk is the best bang for the buck in my opinion, you just have to build it.

Re: Bearhawkin' with Blackrock

Good to see you guys out on the "East Circuit"...Cannot believe I could not attend... #-o #-o

I see you went to "3 shot gun shells", "Wild Horses" and "3 Wagons"...(now known as "Madflaps Beach"). Anywhere else?

Fixing my RPM cable this am. Hoping to fly this afternoon on this perfect weekend!

Nice work guys!

Re: Bearhawkin' with Blackrock

We were really looking forward to meeting up with you Kevin. Maybe next time. Glad you're getting the tach cable fixed so you can fly today. You're right, what a perfect weekend to be in the air!

The only other place we landed is that dry lake bed next to the river; actually, we just did a touch and go on that one. It was quite a contrast going from the wilds of the east circuit strips to the biz jet center, Atlantic, at Reno.

That was a great watch there Zane, really well edited, and what a sound track (the Lycoming 6's and long props!!!). That's the single best Bearhawk video I've ever seen on Youtube yet. =D>

Big thanks to Mr Creek and Mr Boyd for providing the aircraft!
