Beaver over Maine's coastal islands

I have never previously had the chance to fly down low following Maine's coast and the thousands of islands along the shorelines. This weekend we were shooting some air to air with a stunning Beaver and one of the most down to earth, friendly, and helpful pilots I've had the pleasure of meeting. A second day of shooting air to ground gave me more time to enjoy the scenery down below and let's just say its incredible to say the least. What a beautiful part of the country. I may just have to start looking for a nice island with airstrip access to call a summer home.

Gorgeous.

I'd love to explore that coastline by air someday.

Really neat. Nice smooth footage, too. Why do we never get to see the left side of that Beaver??

Because that's her photogenic side of course.

Let's just say even with the Maule's patrol/observation package, the reflections are still a challenge shooting the opposite direction. Some day we just might have a 6 axis camera pod with better shooting angles, if I can find a buyer for both my kidneys and one leg.

Yeah my daughter is a full time free lance cinematographer and has more camera tools/toys than I have airplane tools/toys. She's done all that on her own too. It's a fun combo when we can "work" together.

Thanks Pete. She's doing very well for herself with jobs as far away as Sweden in the Artic Circle. The aviation niche work is just an added bonus for both of us.

Thanks Ted. I'm a proud Dad.

Her YouTube channel with most of her Air to Air videos with a few other reels, cars, and SWAT team action sprinkled in.

Hugely creative talent. I love the beach scene at the end of her “Reel” on her website.

Thanks again Ted. She's heading back up to Maine in November to shoot a short film with hopes of making the rounds in the film festivals.

That reel on her website is really good stuff. She clearly takes it seriously.

Maybe she'll want to work with me if I ever get some money to produce better stuff.

She's been dying to get back up to Alaska and shoot some backcountry flying footage. Y'all should talk about a collaboration.
