Bergseth glider laqnding strip WA

So far this is my favorite strip in Washington, has a beautiful approach.
Beautiful place and friendly crowd.
It is private.
To go there you need to be a member of the club or get invited by one.
The glider instructor is a friend of mine so he invited me to go visit to see if I have any interest in flying gliders.
I signed up to become a member to start training in gliders.

I really like the way you stabilize the apparent rate of closure. The trees coming toward you do not accelerate as you get down into the trees on short final. Thus no need for roundout and hold off. Also no need to drop it in and bounce. The way you film through the pilots windscreen gives us the best picture of the apparent rate of closure approach. We can see that you do not change the pitch all that much. It doesn't take a dramatic pitch change to control the apparent rate of closure with elevator. All pilots here can individually decide if it appears to be a brisk walk.
