That is spectacular Tim, I love the first pic, and I love the second one even more because we saw the look in your eyes and got to share your enthusiasm! You are an inspiration to all of us.

Re: Best Of 2015

Somewhere near the Idaho/Wyoming border, at 8900' I think it was. Really cool vegetation I hadn't come across on other similar LZ's, and the ground underneath (largely hard to read from the air due to the veg) was SUPER SMOOTH =D> That never happens but it did this day.

A couple of visual highlights for me. Flying in to Copalis Beach is not particularly challenging, but it is spectacularly beautiful. Here's a shot of a flying friend taking off in his Maule after we met there for a picnic lunch

Here's a shot of my plane at the small farm strip where I keep my plane when visiting mom in Portland, OR

Here's a couple of shots from the High Sierra Fly-in, another real highlight of the year

It was a good first year with my plane in the Pacific Northwest. I'm hoping and planning for more adventures in 2016!

Best Of 2015

Despite logging fewer hours, 2015 was probably one of my most enjoyable flying years to date. I made some new friends and explored some places I've dreamed of my whole life.

Flying-camping highlight of 2015 for me was my trip to Hell's Canyon and Idaho with my son in June.

2015 was great. 2016 will be better! Nothing better than AK.
I'm not sure I can even get pics posted. I read the directions but not sure about my attention span. ;)

Something you don't see every day. Not spectacular by any means, but different. Our ski area in early December this season. Thank god for snowguns!
