Actually, the center of NV is about 30 miles to the east. Take 50 east from Austin and go past Hwy 376. Turn right (south) on Belmont Rd and drive south about 14.5 miles.
I found a marker about a year ago. But not really sure 100% if it's the center of NV.
BTW...... if your brave and skilled enough. There is a road right by the marker you might be able to land on.

OK this doesn't look like the Austin I landed at and camped at... Austin is paved....or is that a pic of big pine...

OK this doesn't look like the Austin I landed at and camped at... Austin is paved....or is that a pic of big pine...
You know I don't know the history of that old airstrip. (I assume that is an old airstrip) If anyone actually lives in Austin maybe he (she) can enlighten me. It is hard to believethat Austin has a 6000' paved runway.
