Blogs

Not sure if others keep Blogs. I did quite a bit for my last plane to keep friends and family up to date with my adventures. They liked it.

Finally updated one.echo.whiskey. I initially set it up 8 months ago, but just never finished it. Hope to keep this one more up to date.

Anyone else out there keep blogs? I have seen some in signatures - would be cool to have a list on the new site (hint, hint Zane)

Re: Blogs

One of the new features I have mulled over is hosted blogs for users. It's just as easy to add a link to your own though in your signature. I can make a directory of them too if we want that.

Re: Blogs

Nice blog! And nice video of Gravelly Valley. For the first summer in 9 years I'm not going there (family plans changed this year).

Are you saying in the blog that you attached the ContourHD camera with one rivnut? Just one?

You are in Jackson? I'm based out of Placerville.

Re: Blogs

Hey Ney - thanks! I am typing this from Sutter Creek as we speak. Live in Folsom, work in Sutter, plane based at Amador/Wesotover in Jackson. Love you blog. Man - you get around, living the dream!

Yep, one rivnut. Its pretty big - http://www.mcmaster.com/#93484a690/=7knjj1. In a 25/64 hole. Sealed. It's thread fits a std. 1/4-20 camera stud.

The camera and mount weigh hardly anything.

Re: Blogs

I got me one of them web logs. I like typing. I'm having a fist fight with the wind right now so there's time to blog my heart out. Pretty soon Patrol Guy [et al] will enter my life and blogging will be kept to a minimum.

Re: Blogs

Huhu,

I try to stick to Safety & Seaplanes + the forum with my small blog.
Wordpress has a beautiful feature called "like" - which allows you to see something on someone else s blog an re-blog it.
Fun fact - you're not stealing someone else s work, instead you refer to the other blog.

http://jasonjamesbaker.wordpress.com and I (dear Zane) would appreciate a directory for my blog roll.
Important about blogging: It takes a lot of time until you hit 1000 readers, and sometimes crawls to a sheer halt.
Keeping fresh pictures in it is the hardest thing, I try to change my header once a week and request pictures left and right.

Cheers,
JJ

Nice Blogs everyone I put them all in my blog roll on my blog: http://www.desertpilot.com/

Zane,
I think a blog roll on the new site would be the best.

Hey Trevor, nice job on the aggregation of latest posts from your blogroll. Looks good. I think that's a great idea, and once I get the core stuff completed I'll look into doing something similar for all the related blogs and BCP member aviation blogs.
