Bonding Straps

Hello, I cannot make out where the bonding straps go between the horizontal stab and the elevator for my ‘78 C-182. The service manual and parts diagram are useless too. Anyone able to grab me a photo of theirs please?

Re: Bonding Straps

Don’t have the plane handy, but as I recall on most Cessnas isn’t it just outboard of the outside elevator hinge? (At least on the R side)

Re: Bonding Straps

I don't think my old C180 has such bonding straps.
What's their purpose?

Provide a path for static buildup in flight to make its way to the static wicks and dissipate. More of a “modern” installation than your early 180, also not as necessary on VFR machines.
