Yes, and with even more fuel.
It would be easier with a '53 (they had lightening holes in the control surface ribs, and lighter gear legs, and only half the paint), but I know of a '54 that went on 35's for a short 'trial' duration, that weighed similar ON 35" ABW's! Also know of more than one working '53 that are in that realm with big engines.
It will need to be very Basic VFR, no carpet, no headliner, and NOTHING that doesn't need to be in it to fly.
Virtually everyone complains about how much weight their airplane has gained, as if the factories fabricated the numbers, but the truth is, NONE of those airplanes end up being in the same trim as the original equipment list depicted. Most of them have a half mile of old wire, a half inch of paint, an inch or two of dirt in the bellies, crushed velour interiors from 1974, ad nauseum.
