Re: C170 down near Auburn, CA

This wonderful couple recently joined The International Cessna 170 Association. Its members along with a host of pilots and aviation enthusiasts are deeply saddened with this tragedy. We will miss them.

I was one of the "judges" at the TIC170A convention in Benton Harbor, MI and at that Convention, where we judged the 170B of Bruce and Kathy, a winner in it's class. And the couple were so easily integrated into our 170 family that it is much like losing a immediate family member.

Anything mechanical is subject to failure. Anything with human involvement is subject to error. My condolences to family and friends.

I'm very sad to hear about this. I met Bruce at the High Sierra fly-in last year and enjoyed talking 170's with him. I wonder what went wrong, his plane was in outstanding condition. Condolences to their family.
