First, some background to this. Last year our flying club needed to find a new maintenance shop. We settled on another shop on the field and came to find out that their primary business is brokering aircraft and ferrying aircraft. Then we came to find out that they were/are the focus of a Canadian Discovery Channel series called Dangerous Flights.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I stopped by to drop off a check for some maintenance that was done on our planes. The owner was there and excited about an upcoming ferry in a Caravan to Kenya.
Fast forward again to two days ago. I stopped by again to drop off a check. He was there again and I asked how his trip went. He said it was great until the last day. They made it to Europe, through Sudan, and to Kenya. Then he told me the cameraman wanted some more footage and went up with a local pilot. He said they think they got low and slow. Sad deal.
At one point they were trying to get the show on here in the US. Could be interesting, although I'm sure there is plenty of the hyped up non-drama that seems to be a prerequisite of such shows.
