canadian bushplane museum
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Hey guys,
not somwhere I flew (although you can if you're on floats) but was well worth the trip, is the Canadian Heritage bushplane museum. If you are ever in Ontario, Canada or in northern Michigan it is pretty neat to see. It has the first production beaver ( which my father in law tuned the radios on on its last flight before entering the museum), otters, norseman and quite a few others. Bush and backcountry flying are a huge part of the development of Northern Ontario. they have a pretty good set up anyway. I'm not much of a museum guy, I'd rather see them flying, I did however enjoy it.
Just thought I'd pass it on
here is a short video I found

I'll have to add that one to the list.....another good one out west is the Reynolds-Alberta museum in Wetaskiwin, AB. It was mostly a private collection I believe of the late Stan Reynolds, a WWII aviator with an interesting history of his own. It's at the Wetaskiwin airport so you can fly right to it. Its part of Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame as well as a huge collection of anything mechanical including motorbikes, farm machinery, cars, etc. Also an active restoration shop and many "future projects" sitting in and outdoors.
Well worth checking out if you are in the area.
