I've found with Firefox I can paste but using Chrome it won't work.

Well I just tried to paste with Chrome and it works for both url's and a paragraph of something. Not sure what was going on before since that was why I almost never use Chrome.

Can you be more specific? Since copy and paste supports multiple data types I can't be sure exactly what you're attempting. The link that Tradecraft posted should help.

Pasting of URLs works in every browser I have had the opportunity to try. It's just ASCII text.

Please be more specific. If you're unable to copy and paste simple text data it sounds more systemic than a website forum issue.
