Definitely one of the largest on earth.

The caldera measures 43 by 28 miles (70 by 45 kilometers), and postcaldera lavas spill out a significant distance beyond the caldera proper.[4]

Flying the area, I'm always amazed at the altitude.....there is a gentle rise in the terrain in about the middle of the park you really don't notice, until you look at the altimeter! One time, I got to see Old Faithful blow, from the air, impressive. Luckily, I and a few others on this site live close enough to it to go out instantly, the rest of you will have a long lingering death. #-o As if we didn't have enough to worry about!

You guys from Alaska have a one track mind! The Tuamotu Islands are 2700 NM from Oahu! Will be trolling Kona lures!

Note: It has a nice top loading freezer/frig

Also, might try sailing the inland waterways to Glacier Bay this summer! Let me know if you guys need another BFR in your tail dragger? You have a nice car I can borrow again? ha Ha…

[/quote]We could certainly do some business. Hahaha. Can’t have the Jeep again because we sold it but there are plenty other rigs. You will need that engine in SE AK. Not enough wind to do much sailing.

It’s a long trip motoring a sailboat at 5 knots retracing my 8GCBC amphibious route! But, it would be totally awesome to see your incredible spread and you folks again.
