I'm glad the pilot was able to make it out alive. Interesting it says at the bottom of the page that the plane was upgraged with an engine from a 180... an O-470. Never heard of a 170 with this setup.

A VERY lucky man. If that airplane had been higher when the fire started.....

I know there were Cessna 175s converted with O-470s, but I've never heard of a 170 with that engine either. Maybe a field approved deal.

Scary looking thing in any case, and imagine trying to get out of that inverted wreck fast....
