Rob, I am in the neighborhood of Santa Rosa.
G44, very good points in regards to the 182. I'm somewhat indecisive as it is.... This is no easy choice!

I can buy Mogas and fly the crap out of it, while having a great time. Living in CA, I have quite a few opportunities for some local backcountry stuff. If I want to venture out into the Sierra's or further, I will have to be aware of the weight and DA.
I was talking to a pacer owner about the MoGas thing and he said its not possible to find MoGas in California without the ethenol so he told me to just forget that dream.. Was he incorrect? He said he only ever found it in marinas on lakes and by then the price is jacked up from filling boats. Can you find it in NorCal near your airport?
I am in the Los Angeles area.
