Fathers Day. Cessna 172 landing. Nose wheel broke completely off. Pilot injured but will recover.

Holy crap, was it hard landing or something? Wonder why the nose snapped off..
Thats a pretty easy airstrip by backcountry standards..

There are NO easy backcountry airstrips. There are more difficult and less difficult airstrips. That can change depending on the wind and other conditions. We have had people die on this less difficult airstrip. IMOP

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
Sounds about on par with the Bonanza that hit the tree at Warm Springs 4 years ago on the eclipse weekend.
