Cessna 172 Texas Taildragger Skis?

Hey all!

New to Backcountry Pilot, and am looking for advice!

I am in the process of purchasing a Cessna 172 with the Texas Taildragger conversion, and am looking for a set of penetration skis that can be put on it. Does anyone know what skis are approved and decent with this setup?

Thanks!

Re: Cessna 172 Texas Taildragger Skis?

I’m pretty sure the aero ski r2800 retractable skis are approved for the 172 conversion. I only know because I’d like to get them for the 170, but they are approved only for 172/175 conversions, which is dumb....

The owner of Aeroski is a very helpful guy. Contact him and see what he has to say.
