Another route (although admittedly initially more expensive) is the improved trimwheel from Bushwheel Bill at QMI. Might be something to consider at this stage.

Has anybody had a trim wheel fail? How about any comments on the QMI trim wheel. It looks very nice just not sure if I should install or not. I'm having some work done by Beegles done in February so I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and install the QMI trim wheel.
Thanks in advance.

I can't find it now, but I think someone posted here not too long ago about repairing their stock trim wheel assembly.
It looked like a cost-effective alternative to a $2K QMI trim wheel.
They riveted the trim wheel, sprocket, etc all together,
as so eliminated the need for the roll pin-- a known weak point.
He even posted photos.
Can anyone post a link to that thread?

I wasn’t able to open these in eaa solid works and the jpeg resolution is not quite good enough. Has anyone had better luck?

I should point out that the subject of this thread is "trim wheel bearings"
Its not a like anyone is highjacking a "QMI trim wheel" thread.
I salute Bill Duncan for coming up with his replacement trim wheel (and even more for his hockey stick repair kit!), but not everyone wants to spend $2K on a trim wheel fix if a more cost effective solution is available.
