So who makes the best?
Is there some better than others?
Is dollar spent mean better product?

I can endorse both Eagle and Hartwig, not sure which one is better but I've had good luck with them.

New is way better than overhauled. I'll never install another overhauled fuel cell if I can help it, not a good track record in my experience.

I've always used Eagle and Hartwig, I've never had any problems and I've been using them for years. Hartwig is also good with aluminum tanks.

Man Halestorm, I like those drains! Can they be put in with any bladders? One of my bladders was replaced in 2002, and my other one is just starting to leak a bit now. I think it would sure be worth putting those drains in while I'm changing the bladder. Might as well do both right away!

George, I just did a 182 this summer. We used a Hartwick bladder, but the customer service was somewhat lacking. I'd like to try and eagle next time and see if they are better. The Hartwick is a nice bladder though, very well built. I'd recommend them for sure.
Agree that you want to get a new one. Forget about an overhauled one. Not worth it.

My LH bladder just started leaking a bit too. Hartwig has a office in Canada, but no stock, everything still has to be ordered from the US playing the daily exchange rate game. They said they can quote me, but actual total would be calculated after they import it. They didn't have any presently available in the US either. I called eagle and they had a brand new one ready to go at a little over $100 cheaper than hartwig's quote. Hartwig actually called me back after and said they gave me a shop price, being an individual it would be more??? So something north of $100 savings. Still really expensive though. $1600CDN including shipping and two of their fancy drains. My rh is a new hartwig installed in 2008, going to install the eagle drain on it. Eagle's retrofit drain kit is available in two styles depending what you have. I have the monarch caps that hartwig sells and i like them.

That's cheaper then the Hartwick we got that was in stock in Manitoba. So I'd say you did well.

Aerotech Services makes a quality product at a fair price. I put a couple of them in the 205 over 20 yrs ago and no problems.

Have also done some on 182's with the same results. I like them.

Funny thing is when i received my eagle bladder I saw a Hartwig last name on the signed documents. They forgot to send my drains, so when i was talking to an individual from eagle, i asked about the Hartwig name. Turns out Hartwigs own eagle also, one of the sons started his own company.

Went with the Eagle, saved $800 on 4 bladders!! Came with everything needed! Had to wait a week to get 1 bladder so had them wait and send all 4 together! Pretty painless .

The other nice thing is the material they use tolerates E10 ethanol fuel---not that you'll ever do that.
